The Zachry Foundation is a private, family foundation that operates on an annual cycle: receiving grant applications from January 2 through February 15. The Foundation was created more than three decades ago.

The areas of primary interest include: education, arts and humanities, and health and social services. With the exception of higher education in the state of Texas, grants are generally restricted to the San Antonio area. Grants to individuals or endowments are not compatible with the Foundation’s guidelines.

The Foundation annually contributes to a diverse number of nonprofit agencies and institutions. Gift determinations are made by the seven trustees. Please download the grant proposal guidelines and the grant application form.
